What was Scotland’s relationship with Russia during The Cold War?
Aarol Films was asked by National Museum of Scotland to record interviews for their latest resource, Scotland : Cold War Battleground, Nuclear Scotland and The Scottish Society produced by Jessica Douthwaite and ultra talented filmmaker, Mario Cruzado.
The learning resources have came out amazing, detailing Scotland’s relationship with The Cold War drawing from never-before-seen archives, object collections, footage, and interviews with experts to explore how the global superpower standoff impacted and influenced Scottish lives, politics, landscapes and technologies.
The learning resources can be viewed below:
Big thanks for National Museums Scotland Media team for getting Aarol Films involved ❤️
Thanks to August Maclean & Siobhan Beatson from the Ullapool Museum & Visitor Centre, where we looked at their Klondykers collection. A quirky museum that is a converted church – worth a visit to!
Great grabbing a cuppa with Anne at the volunteer run Crail Museum, before she shared her experience growing up in Crail during a time where Russian was taught to those doing National Service.
🛶🌤 Gorgeous spot at Crail in Fife
