Free Love perform at Hidden Door Festival, Edinburgh
Warning: Contains far too many strobe lights and good tunes for a blog post 💃🏼🕺🎶
Remember the former Scottish Widows office complex? …Well, you should of seen em’ at the weekend! 🕺🎶
Edinburgh’s Hidden Door Festival transformed the former Scottish Widows office complex on Dalkeith Road into a five-day arts event. Over 60 music acts, 22 spoken word & poetry performers, 33 visual artists. Repurposing it’s office canteen into the “Cabaret Stage”!
Really touched that Free Love, (Currently on LOST MAP RECORDS LTD), the headlining act asked myself / Aarol Films to film their performance which wrapped up this years festivals closing party.
Thanks to everyone from Hidden Door Festival for being so accommodating as Aarol films team were able to deliver a 4K multi camera set up capturing the grand finale of this years festival. A unique platform that champions the arts in Scotland 🙌
💥 It’s been a blast producing this video of the closing set! Cool moment for the art’s in Scotland 🏴 Here is the full performance and a big thanks to everyone involved! 🙌 Maybe you can spot yourself dancing!
With Free Love, one of Scotland’s best live music acts, making it to the Longlist for this weeks Scotland’s Album of the Year Award (SMIA / supported by Creative Scotland, and Hidden Door Festival nominated for upcoming Creative Edinburgh’s Edinburgh City Award).
… now seems like a good time to share when the two came together this summer to transform the former Scottish Widows office canteen into the “Cabaret Stage” during the five day arts festival!
